If you're ever stuck in traffic on the 4th Ring Road, you'll find your attention drawn to a black box of a building looming on the right-hand side of the main highway. But what's inside?

One of the most iconic fitness landmarks in the city, Oxygen Jabriya is an athlete's Shangri-La. Opened in November 2012, this 5,629m² three-floor facility has been visited by many professional and international athletes. Famous IFBB athletes who have trained at this facility include Big Ramy, Roelly Winklaar, Hidetada Yamagishi, Cedric McMillan, Dennis Wolf, William Bonac, Flex Wheeler and George Farah. This 24-hour gym (with the exception on Fridays, when it opens from noon onwards) is the biggest of all the Oxygen branches and offers a host of equipment brands such as Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Atlantis, Nebula, Panatta, Hoist, Cybex and Precor. The first floor houses all the cardiovascular equipment, cardio zone, aerobics hall, spin studio and resistance machines to train one's lower body. The second floor is more strength-oriented, featuring free weights and resistance equipment to target your upper body. The ground floor features a healthy restaurant, nutrition store,a vast locker room and wet area including pool, sauna, steam room and even a one-of-a-kind ice-plunge pool. What's more, Jabriya has an outdoor relaxation area, which includes big tanning beds for members to get some sun post- workout. If you haven't checked it out yet, what are you waiting for?
